Is there a way to have JDiskExplorer submit the uploads & downloads through your process.php file to a S3 bucket? And also have the explorer.php file retrieve the contents of the same bucket to the JDiskExplorer?

No, we have JS3Explorer which is the same as JDiskExplorer but with S3 protocol support. could it fir to your need ?
