I have purchased JDiskExplorer and have uploaded to my "1 and 1" account for my website.
When I run it I get the error that according to your FAQ indicates that "1 and 1" (or whoever) needs to map the ".properties" file type to a Text Mime type so the server will serve it up.
I have not been able to get "1 and 1" to do this so far.
Is there a workaround? Is there some other way to get JDiskExplorer to work?
.Properties Mime Association problemRe: .Properties Mime Association problemYou're not able to enable ".properties" as "text/plain" because of limitation of your hosting service, correct ?
Re: .Properties Mime Association problemOk, I see. The only workaround is to make this parameter optional. We're going to improve the JDiskExplorer to make it happen. Please contact support(at)jfileupload(dot)com to get a testing version of release 2.5.
Re: .Properties Mime Association problemDone, you can download 2.5 Beta1 at:
http://www.jfileupload.com/pub/JDEPro2.5Beta1.zip Notice that you must use all the new JARs (clean Java cache to make sure they are used). Also, "resources" and "transferuiresources" parameters have been removed from the JavaScript. Let us know if it works for you. Re: .Properties Mime Association problemThanks for the Beta.
After continuing to apply pressue to 1and1 for the last few weeks, they finally relented and today setup the mime type for us. So the fix you made is not necessary. Sorry for the bother and thanks for providing such a quick beta after my request. Your support is excellent |
